Lenfest Institute Awards PABJ Its Largest Grant In History

In its latest move to spark innovation and incubate diversity throughout local news ecosystems, The Lenfest Institute for Journalism announced a$50,000 grant award to support the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists (PABJ).

The local group, representing nearly 200 local journalists & media creators in the Delaware Valley is one of the largest and the founding chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.

“It’s easily the most money we have had at one time that will be devoted to members and their programs,” said PABJ President Manuel McDonnell Smith told the Philadelphia Tribune.
